Parent Letter

Dear Parents and/or Guardians,

Welcome back to the 2020-2021 school year! I hope you had a fun and relaxing summer vacation. I’m so excited to begin working with your children!

During the school year, I may send home various activities for your child to complete with your guidance in order to practice content area that they may need additional help in to become proficient on their own. Some activities can be accessed through Google Classroom. These activities will contain familiar content for your child, as they will be the main targets of content taught in Kindergarten. The purpose of home practice is to help you as a parent/Guardian generalize targeted skills for improvement. Please feel free to let me know if you see a need, as we are a team, working together to help your child grow. Home practice should take no more than 5-10 minutes each night. All home activities are optional but recommended.

This year I am continuing to use Class Dojo throughout the year for classroom management. The directions and codes for your students are attached to this letter, which will allow you to view their performance in the classroom. Please also know that messaging is available through ClassDojo website or app.

As your child’s parent and/or guardian, you are considered an integral part of our team at Fremont because you are the one who knows them best. I will contact you as needed regarding your student’s progress.
