Distance learning has been a learning curve for all of us as parents and teachers. While your child is participating in distance learning it is best to complete assessments face to face. I have a sign up that you will choose a time to come in each Friday for 10 minutes. This allows me to see your child and get to know them a little as well as assess how they are doing. This will guide my online materials to help your child grow to the best of their ability. The assessments will be completed on the stage right next to the office so they will not be in the classroom.

If we are unable to make your scheduled time, I would appreciate a heads up so I can adjust and plan. An assessment is for the sole purpose of seeing where a child is at in their understanding and their knowledge of a concept and how well they can show their understanding and knowledge.

Dibels is a school wide assessment that is given at the beginning, middle and end of year. In Kindergarten Dibels assesses letter recognition, beginning sound, non sense words, and phoneme segmentation. This assessment is required for all students.
